Background:

Katie Ferreira-Aubin is a Dighton-Rehoboth School Committee member and co-owner of Prestige Wellness & Co-Parenting Consulting. She gained notoriety when she announced, during a school committee that “forced vaccinations are like Nazi Germany.” She then followed up this statement with social media videos that compared “vaccine passports” to the numbers tattooed on the arms of Nazi death camp inmates during World War II and vaccine mandates to “modern day segregation.”

Ferreira-Aubin is also a board member of Citizens Organized to Restore Rights (CORR). As a board member, and an elected official, she has been working to develop a strategy for getting more CORR members into elected leadership positions, so that they can have more power over decisions. This has included volunteering to set up a candidate school for CORR Members. Ferreira-Aubin also spearheaded a lawsuit against Governor McKee protesting mask mandates in Rhode Island schools.

At a CORR Meeting on February 21, 2022 Ferreira-Aubin stated: “We need to infiltrate the school committees, we need to infiltrate the school boards, we need to take them over from within… If we win, we infiltrated that school board. We get back to basics, we let parents parent, we get mandates out of the schools, we get CRT out of the schools; we infiltrate. So [Jeff Reber and Peter Latour] need to win [their election for Dighton-Rehoboth school board].”

Ferreira-Aubin also belongs to #ParentsUnitedRI, a grievance-based hate group that stands against the transgender community, opposes the teaching of racism history, and fought hard against COVID-19 precautions and medical advice throughout the pandemic.

MTA agreeing with mandating/requiring a vaccine for all staff is not the way to go people deserve to have medical freedom at their place of employment. No one should be forced to get a medical procedure to keep a job they are not comfortable with. We have a teacher shortage now this will only increase it more. Parents choice and staff choice!
