The National Men’s March to Abolish Abortion and Rally for Personhood

“On Saturday, November 16th, the MA Chapter of the Men’s March will be marching for the third year in a row, bringing slogans like “Abolish Abortion” and “Defend the Preborn” to the Boston area and picketing outside of Planned Parenthood locations.

Summary:

  • The “Men’s March” hosts marches and rallies in cities across the US, primarily on the East Coast. The purpose of these marches is to gather men against abortion and promote ‘manhood’ and ‘control of the family’, including making decision on behalf of women
  • The Men’s March is organized by Catholic fascists. Their organizing can be understood in a similar lineage as Nick Fuentes, a prominent young incel/men’s rights and far right activist.
  • The Men’s March is significant for similar reasons as the March for Jesus (August 2024, also profiled on our site). It demonstrates the connections between various factions of the white supremacist, Christian fascist movement.
  • The Men’s March explicitly centers men as legitimate decision makers about other peoples’ medical decisions. It centers manhood on asserting that control and “defending” the family.

Quotes from their website:

  • “IT’S TIME to get men off the sidelines and active in protecting and defending vulnerable women and children.”
  • “The national event takes place multiple times each year in various U.S. cities and always begins with men gathering outside of an abortion killing center in prayer and raising up our touchstone of the four Rs: Face REALITY, Take RESPONSIBILITY, REPENT of what we have done and what we have not done, and make a new RESOLVE to do more and better, by God’s grace, than what we have done before. Men are encouraged to gather and march with their sons as an opportunity to train them up in virtue and authentic manhood.”
